I think I may have asked this a while ago but I dont think anyone truly knew the answer. Since we've got some new folks since the last time, I'll ask again and see what we come up with this time.

Which actually brings in more fans - National or Local Popularity? Local never seems to be lower than National but when trying to get more fans in the stands, which one has more influence? (Let's just say we cant rely on winning doing it?)

Pretty sure the degree of national popularity enhances the fan interest boost upon acquiring that player, and local popularity impacts the degree of fan interest loss if that player is traded / signs with another team.

When it comes to bringing more fans in consistently attendance-wise (other than the fan interest fluctuations caused by them), not really sure.

I think Joshua is right in the basic storyline of how it works regarding player acquisition. I'm purely guessing that attendance, if anything, has to do with local popularity.

I always thought that national popularity affects how your team draws on the road - the more players with high national popularity you have, the more fans are interested in coming to watch your team play. Those ratings plus the home team's local popularity ratings (along with day of the week and whether a team is a divisional opponent) help determine what the attendance figure for a game will be.

Of course, that may be completely wrong ...
