If a veteran player who has a right to refuse demotion and a MLB contract somehow accepts an outright demotion.... You should still be on the hook for the contract right?

...asking for a friend. This has absolutely nothing to do with Balderas and/or Dempsey. :bag:

Balderas and Dempsey somehow got out of their contracts and it now says they have minor league deals. This must have happened back in April when they accepted demotions. Just noticing it now.

I'm not sure how much or if anything got paid through my misc expenses. The $20 million on tab seems higher then it was, but is not high enough to include all of their 2020 salaries. Possibly a pro rated version? I really don't know.

Figured I'd point this out. This is not Brooklyn shenanigans. Though I am tempted to try the same thing with Sweetworld.

The miscellaneous expenses would be prorated.
