Voting for minor league awards?

Is this a thing now? If you go to the league home screen for R, A, and AA there is the (!) in the header. It's for award voting in each of the leagues. Are we supposed to or allowed to vote? I'm probably just going to vote whether it matters or not. Just want to make sure it's cool. Like if I make a lot of homer votes and my vote ends up being only one, I'd essentially be selecting the award winners. That may not be a good thing.
