Fernando Ortiz was acquired on July 21st of this season, he was on my active roster from then till September 28th when he was placed on the DL. I want to activate him but he isn't on the "eligible for playoff" list. Did I make a book keeping error? I'm not sure why he is not eligible.

Never ever ever ever ever ever put anyone on the DL in September.

I have noticed that OOTP does not do a good job with the playoff eligibility. My work around has been to transfer players that are still injured to the 60 day DL then add the person I want to the playoff roster right after. Usually works.

I guess I just screwed myself. Ortiz got injured for 5 weeks on the second to last day of the season. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to still be playing, let alone have him come back a week early. It is what it is though. The way this season has gone, whoever plays left field will probably come up with a clutch hit in a big spot.

Not really your fault though, as he should be eligible. Can't foresee it if you've never experienced it before.
