Matt,

First of all, I love this and view it regularly.

I assume you are the owner of this and you do the updates?

I notice that it has not been updated for the '25 or '26 seasons. One of the things I use it for is the team previews. I would like to volunteer to be responsible for updating this if you would like to delegate the task. Though I understand if you don't want to hand this off, especially to a relative newcomer.

Unified Brewster Baseball Association History *Updated*

Hi Everyone,

Matt has graciously allowed me to be the custodian of this amazing document, the Unified MBBA History. I spent more time updating this than I anticipated, but I've set it up to be easier in the future.

I don't know if I'm weird, but I LOVE spending time in this file. It's fascinating/impressive/humbling/etc. It encompasses nearly all of the essential history of the league that you'd be interested in knowing.

Anyway, it is now up to date and includes all names & numbers from the 2026 season. One change I made is the addition of 3 columns next to the year by year record/GM for each team. It's a simple Playoff/LMS/Champion system and serves two purposes:
1) easier/more reliable to keep the numbers in the franchise history section that has records/# of appearances
2) it provides a neat way to look at franchise evolution, hot streaks, cold streaks, unlucky streaks of playoffs and championships

I strongly encourage you to open it up and take a look around if you have never done so, or if it's been a while. While you're there, take a look at your team and let me know if anything looks weird to you, especially the year you took over as GM if it was recent; I think it's all correct but hard to tell since it's not mentioned in the GM Change thread (maybe would be something good to add?). Also, there's a "Notes" section for each franchise year by year section, if you want anything to go there, or if you have an idea what we might use that for, please let me know as it's currently empty.

So, please enjoy this document, and thank Matt for putting it together if you haven't before...I cannot imagine how long this took to put together and I found ZERO errors while I was updating.

Finally, thank you all for your contributions to this league, it is a truly amazing thing.

I really appreciate having Stephen step up to help with this document. It was, indeed, a labor of love that took weeks to initially setup.

The document is simply required reading if you want to get acquainted with the rich history of the league. Especially those of you that are new, I suggest you spend some time perusing this.

Also quite handy when it comes to HOF voting time. :)

Looks like All Star History tab still needs to be updated, FYI.
2025-present, I think.

So someone obsessed with history and willing to put a ton of leg work into recording it took over the team formerly known as the Surfers? Conspiracy theory of the day: Lane=Jason.

Also, thanks a ton for this Stephen - I know its in good hands with you.

Gotta love a good MBBA conspiracy theory!

Took almost two months to get around to it, but we're now up to date with the All-Stars (2025 and 2026).

In the team record section the Twin City Monsters and Edmonton Jackrabbits are incorrectly listed as joined as members of JLA?

Great document though, brought back many a memory. Still remember digging out names & logos for Barnstormers farm teams when the league relaunched in 1995. Mega thanks to Matt for putting up with all my comings and goings
