Rule Changes for 2054

The GB has decided on a couple of rule changes, effective immediately.

1) The salary of every GM in the league has been set to the same amount - $500,000 a year. There were wide discrepancies for GM salaries with no apparent rhyme or reason.

2) The 10/5 Rule allowing a player to block a trade has been removed. No Trade Clauses are still effective but veteran players can no longer block a trade just because they've been on your team for 5+ years.

I feel like my salary just increased. I'm trying to think of which board member noticed my salary, and I think this is the reason for the new rule.

First rule makes a lot of sense. Y'all should adjust every market size while yer at it.

Don't have feelings on the 10/5. It probably helps the good teams more than the bad teams, but I like encouraging more trades.

Both seem like great changes. Good riddance to the 10/5. It had bit me hard a few times in a prior OOTP league.

I had a couple of deadline deals blocked by players exercising their 10/5 rights. It'll help on both sides. Good teams have more buy options, bad teams can move more vets for prospects. A win all around.

Well my kids will be happy. Since my new contract is for 99 years and I’m already 91, I hope they enjoy my paycheck. Doubt I’ll make it to 190 unless health care has really improved in 2054.

Nah. Giving out NTCs is on the GM. You dont like them, dont offer them.

Ya even as a GM who has given 1x NTC in over 20 seasons, I think they should stay.
