Caleca Award Voting 2048
Hey all. Below you’ll find the list of nominees for the Vic Caleca Team News of the Year award, which honors the beloved GM Vic Caleca, who always would pride himself on delivering quality writing. We hope to present the award each year to the Team News that best represents the quality content of which Vic would be proud (although the specifics of what that means are a bit subjective).
There will be just one unified Caleca award recipient for BBA and UMEBA.
If you are a GM in the BBA or the UMEBA, please vote for this award!
How to vote
Please send a PM to me as a RANKED CHOICE vote of the top three.
This means you can choose one team news, two, or three, but if you do more than one, rank them 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. We'll work on a 5-3-1 system of scoring, so your first choices get 5 points, second get 3, and third get 1 choice.
The deadline for voting will be this Saturday at 7PM Central. Hopefully that allows @Lane enough time to include the winning entry to the Media Guide if he wants.
Without further delay, the candidates, in alphabetical order by team. I hope you guys enjoy reading through these as much as I did putting the list together.
Athens - “June Recap”
Boise - “A Most Fortuitous Career Change”
Calgary - “Minty, Shminty”
Charm City - “The Resurrection of Quinton Lara”
Edmonton - “An Open Letter to Steven Collins III”
El Paso - “Trade Winds Blow (and so do the Chilis)”
Hawaii - “Operation Sunburn Chapter II”
Jerusalem - “A look back at a blender division”
Las Vegas - “Hustlers Win Title!”
Madison - “Mysterious Delivery in Madison”
Montreal - “Who's in charge of this Circus?”
Nashville (1) - “McNeill Celebrates 21st Birthday: Exclusive Interview”
Nashville (2) - “Golf Course Sues Bluebirds”
Omaha - “The Home Run King.”
Phoenix - “Talons Join Skype Call, Microphone Actually Works This Time, But No One Wants to Talk About the Talons”
Portland - “Hot Mom Causing Issues in Quincy”
Riyadh - “‘Back of the Sofa’ day”
Rockville - “Rockville Signs Jafar Haamid”
Sacramento - “Holy Ortiz Water”
Tripoli - “Riddler is Coming to Town”
Valencia - “The Kid”
Yellow Springs - “A Meeting To Discuss What’s With the Bats”
