I will open All-Star Voting later today. I have to push Tuesday's sim back, so let's do that Thursday morning.

Last year Monty Brewster Series GM's should get me the 35 man roster with all teams represented by Thu 7am

I picked the subs by first choosing the players that were close to being elected. Then I focused on hitters since I had 13 pitchers already. I went through and picked who I thought were the best. Then I added some players to the team so that every club had a representative and then I tried to cut it to 16. These were the last guys that I cut and they all deserve to be on the team.

The one sentimental pick from my team was Juan Karyabwite. Stinson or Ruiz probably deserve the spot, but Karyabwite is having a comeback, all star year. Also I tried to make sure all the top team’s, those currently in a playoff position, got two guys and he is the second one for Calgary.

Since Kevin posted his lineup, I am pleased to present the Frick All-Star team. I had a tough time with this after the starters, who were elected.

The fact I have Fernando Castillo batting 6th, should say how deep this lineup is. Great job electing these starters, with no true position battles in the voting.

The backups were a bit harder to select. I tried to just grab the players who had more than 1 vote(Assuming it was their own team who voted for them.) 1B was a surprisingly shallow position in the Frick, ,so Estrada just made sense here with his bat and glove. Watson will likely end up starting at 2B if what @RonCo hinted at is true and Thum ends up on the injured list. The outfield backups are full of glove work, and could provide excellent back up defense in the game.

As you can see, Bernie earned the start and I hope Wullenweber follows directly behind him. This staff is quite full of starting pitching, who I expect to come in and throw an inning and then walk off the mound to keep the perfect game intact.


For those who were deserving, I apoligize for leaving them off but the Frick(especially pitching wise) just seemed to be extremely deep!
