The Brewster Moves To OOTP21!

***After the Landis Memorial Series conculdes on Sunday, May 24th I will convert the Brewster to OOTP21!
You will need to have OOTP21 by then, and the first export using OOTP21 will be the Awards/FPL Rosters/Player Options/Pre-Arby Sim Tuesday May 26th 7pm Central.

1. Tweaking of Settings
- Currently working through many, many tests to slightly adjust League Totals
- Player Creation Modifiers now 1.100 for BBA feeders, 1.050 for UMEBA feeders. Should result in stronger drafts.
- Increase Random Development from 1.000 to 1.250
- Aging/Dev Factors also adjusted. .900 for Aging, 1.000 for Development
2. Adjusting Feeder Leagues
- Currently way too many Feeder Teams in BBA, not enough in UMEBA
- We will move the IFA to the UMEBA, where it will become a College League
3. UMEBA Expansion!
- Salary Cap Increases to $55 million for 2043
- Two new teams added: C.F.S.K. Army and Libyan Generals
- No Expansion Draft, teams will be filled with Retired Players just like Athens and Kuwait City were
- Also adding a Rookie League to the UMEBA minors
4. GM Change: Brooklyn Robins
- Alan Ehlers stepping down
- Ben Heuring (Jerusalem) moving up to the BBA
5. GM Change: Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers
- Ben Heuring moving up to BBA Brooklyn Robins
- Harpreet Harrideo will take over Jerusalem
6. Two open UMEBA teams
- Recruitment will start in full force this weekend

Can we make our FPL rosters now and should they carry over or should we just wait and do it after we download into 21?

You can do it now and they'll carry over.

Can we name our rookie league teams? If yes where will the league be based?

Just out of curiosity, did I miss a poll asking people's opinions on buying OOTP21? I realize I've missed a lot as the move to four sims really dragged down my enjoyment and I just couldn't keep up and after a while really didn't want to. So I may have missed a league discussion about this? Or is it simply expected that within one sim we will have purchased the game? Maybe it was known before the 2042 season that the BBA was moving to OOTP21? If so, I was not privy to that knowledge. I just find it surprising that there is one sim for me to purchase OOTP21.

It was decided somewhere (I saw it on slack) that we would be moving to OOTP 21 after the 2042 season. I waited as long as I could but thankfully 21 just went on sale this week.

That would have been nice to know. I guess it is partly my fault for not asking explicitly since I saw OOTP21 go on sale, but I never once read any discussion about it. Granted, I haven't had the time nor inclination to go on Slack for some time.

It's generally not put to a poll, the Brewster upgrades with every new version. I believe it was been announced, but perhaps not enough. Apologies that we didn't properly communicate to you, and anyone else who was unaware.

I dont know when it was (maybe around the time when OOTP 21 was coming out?) but there was a big discussion about when we would make the move to 21. It was decided that it would be between seasons, even though, I think, we may have been early in the 42 season.

I named them (China) but you can change them if you want and if you supply logo, jersey and cap files.

Fair enough, I'm sure there's a chance I missed it though I find it unlikely that I'd have missed a big discussion about it. However, I did join after last offseason ended, so it may have been a discussion that occurred during the offseason and I missed that.

It has been general knowledge (or so I thought) that we were moving to OOTP21 after the 2042 season since the beginning of the 2042 season.

If anyone has a big issue with this or can't afford the game, message me.

I can understand that organizing a big giant OOTP league such as this one can be a no win proposition at times. So please forgive me for being a touch catty right now. Your work hasn't gone unnoticed by me and I am grateful that you allowed me into the league. The last thing I intend is to bring in rancor and discontent since thankfully it is not a question of affordability for me personally with OOTP21. What can I say...I do not react well to surprises and apparently adaptability is not my strong suit. The intended move to OOTP21 was not general knowledge for me, but I take some responsibility for that. I knew the new version was out, and knowing this is such an active league, I should have put two and two together and deduced pretty easily that you guys would be moving to the new version sooner rather than later. I'll get over it. And I'll try my best to be a better resident of the BBA going forward regarding being present.

Not an issue. We ask the question about being willing to upgrade to new versions of OOTP in the Application to try to avoid any confusion. We will always upgrade to the new version in the offseason after a new version of OOTP comes out.
