As I said, I'm trying very hard not to be catty or ungrateful right now. However, this thread was started the very day I joined BBA. In addition, this thread is not specifically about OOTP21 either. In fact, I just scrolled through the thread and I see no mention about OOTP21. I do find it unfortunate that the opposition to four sims got more votes and yet four sims were still adopted for the 2042 season. Or...were you instead pointing out the move to four sims? Bringing up this link has me confused what it has to do with the move to OOTP21.

That said, I'm more than happy to take responsibility for my actions, as I have admittedly not been a very good leaguemate this season in my very first year. My only point is that I would have appreciated some advance warning. So yes, it came as a surprise to me, and I'll be the resident person that it happened to this version.

Not an issue. We ask the question about being willing to upgrade to new versions of OOTP in the Application to try to avoid any confusion. We will always upgrade to the new version in the offseason after a new version of OOTP comes out.

Great point, and I am fully aware that I checked the box or replied "yes" that I'd be willing to purchase the new version of OOTP. I was just caught unaware, and as you can see, I may not always react well to surprises. Not a problem on my end, however. I purchased the new version and I'll try to install it shortly.

I can understand that organizing a big giant OOTP league such as this one can be a no win proposition at times. So please forgive me for being a touch catty right now. Your work hasn't gone unnoticed by me and I am grateful that you allowed me into the league. The last thing I intend is to bring in rancor and discontent since thankfully it is not a question of affordability for me personally with OOTP21. What can I say...I do not react well to surprises and apparently adaptability is not my strong suit. The intended move to OOTP21 was not general knowledge for me, but I take some responsibility for that. I knew the new version was out, and knowing this is such an active league, I should have put two and two together and deduced pretty easily that you guys would be moving to the new version sooner rather than later. I'll get over it. And I'll try my best to be a better resident of the BBA going forward regarding being present.

John most leagues switch OOTP versions when they come out, you do get the odd one or two who vote for the change but very rare. Most like the Brewster switch to the next version at season's end. Regards your last line imo nothing wrong in your participation, UMEBA wise over the season your only second to that handsome devil in Athens, let's be honest Athens, Cairo even alphabetically Cairo are second

Everyone has peaks and valleys, as long as at the end of the season you've done what you need to do.
