Offseason Compensation Thresholds 2041-2042

Type A Batters: 3.0 WAR
Type B Batters: 1.4 WAR

Type A Starting Pitchers: 4.0 WAR
Type B Starting Pitchers: 2.7 WAR

Compensation for Relievers (S2 only for now): 1.0

Do we get compensation for declined player options? I believe so, but I wanted to double check.

You get compensation for players who leave unless you decide to cut them ... so if they opt out, you get compensation.

Is tomorrow's sim the deadline for compensation or is there a chance on the opening day sim? I'm inclined to believe tomorrow's sim goes up to opening day so tomorrow is the last chance.

Tomorrow because anything after that gets them on the roster after opening day and that is too late (as I found out a few years ago with gillstrom)

Just to simplify, when a player leaves on their own accord. If they leave because of the team, no comp.
