UMEBA Expansion Announced for 2042 Season!

Memo: UMEBA Expansion

This memo is official notice that the UMEBA will expand from 8 teams to 10 for the 2042 season. The league will be realigned into one league with two divisions of five teams each.

Four teams will still make the UMEBA playoffs, the two division winners and two wild-cards.

Locations of the two expansion franchises and details of the expansion process will follow (though there will not be an expansion draft, new teams will be stocked the same way the original UMEBA franchises were (with recently retired players, etc.).

Nigel will get to choose one franchise. The other one is up for grabs.

I echo Vic’s sentiments, it’s a great testament to the strength of this league and Matt’s drive that we are now going to have 42 GMs in 2042. Most leagues are struggling with recruitment but Matt has built one of the best, if not the best, around

+ 1 from me. I admit, its been a slow burn for me trying to get deeply involved, but trust me when I say that I am truly impressed with the organization and depth that this league offers.

I believe Matt said 2 teams added and a division re-alignment up above in the thread.

It said that the UMEBA was going to a one league, two division setup with five teams in each division. Which was in effect what we had before, the BURT league will now be the BURT division and the BANC league will be the BANC division
