But I want to be on the record by saying I am not a fan of making changes that affects team building without advanced notice to the league. We never got a notice rule 5 moved from December to January. If we would have known I am sure someone would have thought about this and it could have been prevented. I am sure if you or anyone else would have known about this earlier you could have planned accordingly. Changing something without notice is just not the correct way to manage in my opinion.

Remember when I posted on slack the other day I had my head on a platter when I was critical of your lack of communication. This is a perfect example of what I am talking about. Not at any point was I mean or disrespectful. But I am also not a yes man and just because Recte decides to change something without notice I am not going to just say that’s ok no problem. Please accept my resignation as GM of the Blazers immediately because obviously I get under your skin and after 3 years I have come to the conclusion I am not the type of gm you want in your league. I don’t want to leave but yes your smart comment just ran me off.

Anyways, Trump was voted by the House to be impeached. Seems like a less contentious topic.

Kevin, please reconsider. I understand you’re frustrated, but it’s guys like you that are passionate for the game and the league that make it fun. I, and many others, would hate to see you leave.

I feel like some of your expectations are ridiculous, Kevin. I work 55 hours a week, 10 more in commute time, and have a son with special needs. Sometimes the game throws me curveballs. Sometimes I make mistakes. This will happen at times. All I can do when these things happen is to make the best decision that I can to keep the league moving forward.

Everyone in the league understands this, but I feel like you don't. Your posts are not mean nor are they disrespectful but they are quite demanding and often times excessively so.

Would I like every single aspect of the league to be 100% perfect? YES- you and I can certainly agree on that. That's not reality. This isn't my full time job. Anytime an adjustment needs to be made on the fly I can't stop the league to have a spirited debate or vote on it.

I enjoy having you in the league, Kevin. Truly do. I respect your opinions. But why are you getting all bent out of shape over a non-issue? NO RULES WERE CHANGED AT ALL. Changing the date of the Rule 5 Draft is simply not a huge issue. It was decided that the FPL should be run later in the offseason. In order to do that, the Rule 5 Draft needed to happen after the FPL was completed. That's all it was.

If I have offended you in any way, I truly apologize.

worth noting that I believe we did have a vote on the FPL timing issue which is the origin of all this.

Thank you for your apology but my resignation stands. This issue in reality is small but I have had other issues when I suggest something or appear demanding that I get snarky comments so I am just tired of it. This issue didn’t do me in it’s compounded over time. I get life I have 3 kids work an hour away and hold many roles in leadership in my local church I am swamped as well “I get it”.

I am use to open honest communication with the goal of finding ways to improve. If my passion and desire to be better is not welcomed I just can’t get comfortable. Not sure where I end up but I have been in 3 leagues in the past that is terrible because they have like 10 good gms each so this journey continues unfortunately. I actually like you, and not at one time as I wrote the comments did I think I was being harsh or would draw a reaction like that.
But if I think something was not handled right I will speak up. My message has been consistent league communication needs improved and I stand by that. It’s important to be honest with yourself sometimes and ask for help because yes the Commish duties are time demanding and pretty much impossible for a working man with a family. I am likewise being honest with myself, I can’t change who I am if I can’t post suggestions without facing backlash then I am like a fish out of water. I have enjoyed my time in the Brewster and will highly recommend this league to others I wished I could have stayed forever that was my goal.

I do love a good BBA flair up :D Most do tend to fit on a few more pages before the ‘offended’ GM flounces out.

I may not always have been here but I can say that in the 100’s (literally) I have been in, I haven’t found a better run one than the BBA. Matt has always put his heart & soul into it and I really admire him for that
