My in-game date shows 1 Jan. When I try and download, it says There is No Update League File Available on the Server. Not sure what to do now.

That's odd. Assume you've updated the game version.
Unfortunately, it might be best to download the league file manually and load it view the extraction.

I would say you probably don't need a new accounts_gm file, but just grab the league file itself.

Took a while (could be because I was also downloading videos from YouTube) but its done and it works. Thanks Ron.
