New Membership Director

Post by recte44 » Fri Apr 29, 2011 9:12 pm

With Ryan now officially MIA, I had to move forward to replace the important Membership Director position on our Governing Board.

I'm glad to welcome Aaron Weiner back to the Governing Board to take on this role. He will be maintaining the PP Tracker, as well as helping new GM's learn their ropes and making sure that all GM's are being active, involved members of our community.

Welcome back to the GB, Aaron! He should be getting to work on the AS Break PP Count in the upcoming days.

It's good. A position which propels the league positively which gives me no power whatsoever to do anything at all.

Should make everyone happy.

Aaron

Moonie, it's pronounced "Wiiiiiiiiiiiiner" - no "eeeeee" sound there.

Not that it's so much better. :)

LOL...that's rough, Brother. I'm guessing you have had to explain that to people about 40 gazillion times over the course of your life.

Which makes me think of all the poor folks with names that are spelled funky who have to spend their lives telling people how to spell it, or the opposite, having names that seem obviously pronounced, but the actual pronunciation is different.

I know a guy who named his son Xzavier. Pronounced like Xavier, but with a Z. I assume they thought that people wouldn't know how to say it. Let's throw a Z in there so people will know! Then nobody will know how to spell it!

Another one is Tyfany. Tiffanie, of course, but we have to make it different, because it is prettier and so our daughter will have to spell it for people for the rest of her life.

Due apologies to any of you who did that to your children. Of course, I have a son named Ripken. So, I win. :champs:

:) I remember the names of all five teachers in school who got it right. One of them I had twice - she moved from 1st grade to 2nd grade the same time I did.

Classic. Really, if that is your last name, is there a first name that can make it any better? For the record, Rusty Kuntz's real first name is Russell.
