Please claim a team, division, and/or league to preview here. Please do not claim a second one until we give the go-ahead for that. No points for previewing your own team (other than team news).

Only League & Division previews can be done for PP by more than one GM. However, they will be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis (with the exception that GM who first claimed and posted League/Division preview in prior season has right of first refusal) and bonus PP can only be earned by first GM with PP penalty applying to any GM.

Example: GM (Carolina) claims Frick League preview in thread and posts prior to Week 1 Sim. GM (Halifax) signs up or just posts a Frick League preview prior to Week 1 Sim. Carolina GM gets +2 bonus PP, Halifax GM gets standard PP. If either GM posts the preview after Week 2 Sim they get -2 PP penalty.

Posted on or before Week 1 Sim: +2 bonus PP

Posted on or before Week 2 Sim: standard PP

Posted after 2 sim: -2 PP penalty; only applies to Team, Division, and League Previews (not Awards Predictions, Postseason Predictions, etc.)

Bold - Team/Division/League claimed any time prior to Week 2 Sim
Italics - Team/Division/League previewed any time after Week 2 Sim

Not that I'm going to write one or anything, but it seems grossly unfair that both league previews wouldn't rate the same number of points -

all this rule does is discourage anyone else from doing it - you should take that rule out, its detrimental to league participation

Especially as 'the rule' in direct conflict with you,

Yeah, kinda silly. Just let everyone get the same amount of points. It's a lot of work to write those previews. Is there a reason this was adopted? However, the after week 2 bit is solid.

Well, if I had to guess, it is because last season we had 2 people preview the JLP (by mistake) and I believe one other division went un-previewed. The preference, obviously is to get as many individual things previewed as possible - and having redundant previews could prevent that.

OK, first, I didn't write it. Second, I wouldn't have written it - what do I care if someone else writes a league preview? I do care if they're doing it in lieu of writing divisional ones. There are plenty of divisions to claim; it would make more sense (and be more PPT) to claim a couple divisions to write up.

Ah, this makes sense to me. I suppose if all the other league and divisional previews were done and someone wanted to do another league preview or something then this rule would be re-evaluated for that person or whatever. Disregard. All good in my eyes.
