Over the years I've provided fun for many of you in forms of these leagues. They cost me money to host, I'm paying about $25 a month to sustain everything. In addition, since OOTP3, I've bought and donated one copy of OOTP to at least one GM who couldn't otherwise afford it. Let's say that in the last 10 years, I've spent probably over $3000 on these leagues. In addition, there's a lot of time and energy put into it.

I've never asked for any compensation before. Now, being unemployed and with some pretty serious financial issues on the horizon, I have to.

No obligation at all, folks. It never hurts to ask, though, and I'm past the point of being too proud to ask.

Hey rec,

E-mail me your address and I'll send you a couple months worth of cash to help pay for the expenses. As a former commissioner, I know how much effort you put into this project. It's a lot of time and money, but if you're anything like me, you love doing it anyway.

I'm glad I've found a league that I know will last, and I'd like to help out anyway I can.

I'll be glad to contribute on a regular basis. I'm really careful with money, so I tend not to trust PayPal and sorts. Also don't really trust the postal service, but at least they won't get my card number if I send a cash donation.

Anyway, I'll be sending you two separate letters with cash so if one get's stolen the other gets to you. Let me know you got both.

Make sure you layer it with paper so the postal workers can't see there's a check in there. Learned that one the hard way...

LOL, I am in a pick'em pool with a postal worker and he always sends my winnings that way. Even their own know it!

The one experience I had was in a transaction involving baseball memorabilia. Whoever the postal guy was ripped open the letter, stole the cash, used scotch-tape to seal the envelope shut again, and had the nerve to deliver that to the dealer.
