The Joannesburg Gold wish to congratulate Antonio Roman on his 300th home run, hit as part of a 5-1 victory over the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers.

The 37 year old, recently signed by the Gold to bolster its lineup as part of a push to make it into the wild card for the first time as well as produce a winning record. He has over 1800 hits and apparently, a little left in the tank.

Despite struggling a bit in the field, with a -1.3 rating in left, Roman has brought life to a team that was starting to flounder mid-season, as it did last year.

"I'm just excited to be back on a ballfield again," said Roman. "Now let's see what we can do about keeping that going."
