Moscow kept an even keel with a 3-3 Sim #5. They remain 9 games out of the Eurasia Division but only 1.5 games out of a wild card spot in the GBC. Pitching has most definitely not been Moscow's weakness as the Bears top the division in nearly every pitching stat, but they could use some juice to the offense.

v Tokyo 4-2 W Sam Landry (W) - 5 G, 5 GS, 3-1, 3.48 ERA, 31.0 IP, 1.8 K/BB, 1.03 WHIP, +0.7 WAR
Riyadi Subandrio SV(5) - 10 G, 0-2, 6 SV, 2.70 ERA, 10.0 IP, 7.0 K/BB, 0.90 WHIP, +0.7 WAR
v Tokyo 4-2(15) W Trevor 'Hammerhand' Lawrence (ND) - 7 G, 7 GS, 1-3, 3.69 ERA, 46.1 IP, 2.1 K/BB, 0.97 WHIP, +0.9 WAR[/url]
Starter Sam Landry kicked off a Bears homestand against Tokyo tossing 6.2 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs while fanning 5. Moscow posted 3 runs in the 2nd and the rest played pretty much to script. Trevor Lawrence took the bump the next night and, though he went 7.1 IP giving up 3 runs it was Lloyd Burbank to keep the Pearls scoreless in the 15th inning which was just enough for RF Isacco Aglietti to push across the winning run with a a walkoff double. The finale of the 3-game series got away quickly with Tokyo scoring 3 in the first and 4 in the 2nd off usually solid Siaosi Kane. The remainder of the game was simply academic. Two Monarchs collected 3 RBI: SS Nick Bywaters and 2B Yeong-suk Yun

v Buenos Aires 3-10(L) Siaosi 'Tornado' Kane (L) - 6 G, 6 GS, 2-3, 4.70 ERA, 30.2 IP, 1.7 K/BB, 1.40 WHIP, +0.3 WAR
v Buenos Aires 3-6(L) Titu Homei (L) - 6 G, 6 GS, 1-4, 4.01 ERA, 33.2 IP, 3.8 K/BB, 1.13 WHIP, +0.6 WAR
v Buenos Aires 10-7(W) Idhma 'Crime Lord' Rajamani (ND) - 6 G, 6 GS, 1-1, 2.79 ERA, 29.0 IP, 3.9 K/BB, 1.14 WHIP, +1.0 WAR
Subandrio - SV(6)
Moscow welcomed Buenos Aires to town next for a 3-game set. These are the kind of series Moscow must win if they plan on playing in October - a game against a fellow wild card hopeful. Siaosi Kane took to the mound and, though he is typically solid, he got knocked around allowing 7 runs in only 1.1 innings. The outcome was decided at that point. Two Brisas collected 3 RBI: SS Nick Bywaters and 2B Yeong-suk Yun. Another big inning sunk the Bears in the 2nd game as Buenos Aires posted a 4-run 3rd. The Brisas' first baseman Ira Patterson had a stellar night going 3-4 with 2 RBI. In the finale the Bears turned to "Crime Lord" Rajamani to turn things around. He faced a fantastic game as both teams put up 3 runs in the 4th, but Moscow pushed across 3 runs in the 7th and that was enough to weather a 3-run 9th from the Brisas. Moscow 1B Eng-hee Shen went 4-4 with 4 runs and 3 RBI.

@ London 3-4(10) L Lawrence (ND)
After a travel day the Bears kicked off a series in London against the ridiculous machine that is the London Monarchs. Fortunately, the schedule lined up to give staff ace Lawrence on the hill for the opener . He tossed 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs while striking out 6. It was enough to tie things up to go to the 10th where, unfortunately for the Bears, Monarch catcher Roy O'Donnell delivered a 1-run single for the walkoff win.
