Six losses could spell end of Winning Season dream?

Sep 8 v Beirut L 0-5
Sep 9 v Jerusalem L 4-7
Sep 10 v Jerusalem L 4-6
Sep 11 v Jerusalem L 1-5

Sep 12 v Jerusalem W 6-3
Sep 13 v Bucharest L 4-6
Sep 14 v Bucharest L 1-3

As quickly as a dream starts it dies, two weeks ago we were dreaming that somehow, we might actually get into a wildcard race in September, but a 3-10 record over the first two weeks of the month have seen not only the Wildcard run away but also now, with just 13 games left it may well be that the dream of the first ever winning season for the Red Crescents has also vanished. It’ll be tough to win those six games we now need to make that winning season happen.

The Port Elizabeth Windies, in their first ever post-season excursion, swept aside the Johannesburg Freedom 4-0 and managed to score 42 runs in the four games. It is not known at the moment when, or indeed whether, the final playoff round against the Luanda Anglers will be played. The league Front Office seems very reticent to reveal any further details on the Playoff Finals. Due to us needing to keep our rotation down in Triple-A until this is resolved Riyadh will switch to a four-man rotation as it’s really quite clear now that Jose Lima & Romeu Tameiro are just not fit for purpose and remain that way until such time as the ABA post season is resolved. We don’t want to ruin their chances of the first Silverware the franchise has a possibility of winning.
