You wait ages for one and then two come together

After more than a year without a Red Crescent player winning a trophy, any kind of trophy, we suddenly got two awards in the same week, a Rookie of the Month Award and a Player of the Week Award.

Umar “All-Star Jr” Doger , BURT April Rookie of the Month 2049
20-yr-old Umar deservedly picked up the 2049 April’s Rookie award for the BURT division in his first ever month in the UMEBA. In his first six starts he posted a 3-2 record with an ERA of just 2.15, pitching 37.2 innings he allowed just 26 hits, two of which were homers. He’s currently posting a 7.2 K/9 (30 K’s) with a WHIP of 1.06, the only downside is the 14 walks he’s allowed (3.3 BB/9). He was drafted first overall last year and if he can just improve his control, it certainly won’t be the last piece of silverware on his mantelpiece.

Daryl Pris , BURT Player of the Week, May 3rd 2049
32-yr-old Daryl is in his first month playing in the UMEBA after over 1,300 games in the BBA. The former star of California & Jacksonville has just 29 UMEBA games to his credit but has already picked up his first award. He has only been adequate with the glove at Short but is making good use of his bat. The week we crossed from April to May Daryl went 11 for 26, a .423 batting average, one of those hits was a homer, his second for the Red Crescents, and he drove in seven runs as well. This season so far, he has been hitting .302 with an OBP of .373 if he carries on like this it will be a no-brainer that Riyadh will pick up his 2050 team option.
