There won't be any celebration in Cairo this year.

What went wrong? How did it all fall apart when the team needed to win the most? And there won't be any confetti in Cairo after the final game of the Denny's Grand Slam? This is so sad!

As a team, you certainly cannot complain about a three peat but man a fourth would be incredible. 4 rings in 4 years. That sounds so awesome yet to get another opportunity like this is impossible. With a switch to a new game, it could certainly sabotage any chances of Cairo winning. Some say the series versus Moscow was rigged to make the GBC look more competitive but Moscow definitely earned it in a 7 game series. So what's next?

On to the next season where hopefully Cairo bounces back from a devastating playoff loss and learns from their mistakes to annihilate the GBC.
