Things are getting very interesting in the GBC. The Pharaohs have been on a tear lately, winning 8 of their last 10 games and pulling to within 2.5 games of Fighting Centaurs for 1st place in the GBC. The two teams face off this week in Athens. It feels like this series could be what determines the regular season GBC winner and home field in the playoffs. The two fan bases will definitely be tuned in even more this week than they have been recently.
In the ongoing saga of GM Nathan Garrison and the rumored move to Charlotte in the BBA, it seems that the beat reporters for the Cougars have also picked up on the situation and have begun to write about it. Harrison has been around the Cairo team quite a bit this week and reporters in Charlotte noted that they had not seen much of Garrickes. I’m assuming we’ll have some resolution soon.
