Cairo Weekly In-Season Report 23 (2055.26)

We’ll start with the off-field news first this week. Garrison has been quiet on the subject of the Charlotte Cougars rumors. “I want to focus on our club here. We’re fighting for a playoff spot right now and that’s a big deal. I don’t want to talk to you about a team way off in the USA.

What a week on the field for the Pharaohs. A win against London, a series win against Athens, two wins against Sydney, gaining 4 games in the Fighting Centaurs to pull within 5, and pulling away from London, now leading the Monarchs by 6.5 games.
There are currently several players in the team who are playing exceptionally well. Top of the list is Blair Peyton who is hitting .525 over the last 10 games, bringing his season average to .352. He has also stolen 30 bases and has put up 7.5 WAR on the season. Liam Johnston struggled mightily during June and July but has now gone 16 appearances in August and September without allowing a single run. He has 14 saves in 16 games over that time.
And finally, this week, David Torres started 2 games, earned 2 wins, and allowed only 1 earned run in 14 innings.
