We will begin by briefly recapping the play of the team on the field this week but will follow that up with some important off the field news. The Pharaohs won 3 and lost 3 this week, actually gaining one game on Athens to pull within 8 of the GBC lead. However, the two losses against London are more concerning, as the Monarchs are now just 2.5 games behind Cairo for the second playoff spot. The Pharaohs now have to play one more against London and then host Athens for three to start the next week. If they struggle over the next four days, that could mean a real dogfight for the playoffs.

Now for the big off-field news. There are rumors swirling that first year General Manager Nathan Garrison may be leaving Cairo at the end of the season. Garrison has done an admirable job in his first season with the club and the fans are nervously discussing the potential change coming up. Fueling the rumors is news that the Charlotte Cougars have been discussing hiring a man calling himself Krathan Garrickes as their new General Manager. Krathan seems to bare a striking resemblance to the current Cairo GM. That mustache seems a little suspect to me. I’ll post their pictures here and let you be the judge.
