Well, it's been a busy time for Williamson. Eight rule 5 signings, a complete revamp of the minor leagues and the biggest news of all is the signing of Quinn Greene. This team was desperate for a superstar, a poster boy and they finally have one.
A left fielder who slugs right-handed pitching, Greene has had 6301 AB in the GBC, all in Athens since 2047. His career line of .327/0.399/.670 makes even the sternest fans tear up a little, and that's before you realise those numbers only increase when facing right-handed pitchers. Greene's role is yet to be set in stone, he is exclusively a LF or DH and may not be seen versus left-handed pitchers, although righty outfielders to platoon with him are a rarity at the ball club.
Outside of Greene, the starting rotation got a huge upgrade during the rule 5 draft. Whilst none have set the world alight, two lefties and two righties were added, some of whom have had experience at the BBA level. Further, the outfield is now full of options to complement Greene, centre field is still a slight issue but the signings of Johnny Allen and Barry Kelly help, as well as the emergence of Amin Abdul-Halim who was a late 4th round pick for the Brisas in 2054.
This team still has a long way to go before it's ready however, the infield still looks suspect, the pitching staff lacks real stars and who is going to make that opening day roster? Spring training, as ever, will tell us a lot and there isn't long to wait now...

Good luck with Greene. Well, not really. I hope he fails miserably.
I avoided him because of his recent multiple injuries.
