Brisas Face Hurdles in Offseason, But Money Not One

GM Ben Teague does something very unique when faced with an extremely complicated issue: he leans back in his office chair, crosses his arms, and stares are the ceiling. It may seem unorthodox but It's a move that seems to do the trick more often than not. "The key," says Teague, "Is to put yourself in a universe where what you are doing is complete. How does it work? What made it fit? Who was/is feeling shaded and morale will need to be highlighted?"

"That being said, the toughest solutions are the ones where party is just going to have a hard go no matter what is done."

The "hard go" of this offseason for Teague is how will he replace the runs the Brisas currently produce even if the current pace is last in the league. Buenos Aires is currently last in every major offensive stat other than XBH (7th) and home runs (6th). The team slashed .248/.305/.383 and produced a total WAR of +3.8.

Making a significant dent in replacing those numbers, or perhaps even bettering them, will take place without the biggest bats in 2056. Departing are 3B Bert Cleaver (91 RBI, 72 R), LF Roberto Torres (67 RBI, 79 R), 1B Odemar Lock (44 RBI, 51 R - both in half season in Buenos Aires), 1B Barry O'Quinn (38 RBI, 42 R), and [url=https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 52949.html]SS Miguel De La Cruz (35 RBI, 50 R) among others. "It's hard to know where to start until the market reveals more, but our focus may have to be on pitching which would ease the pressure on what is going to be a Frakenstein offense, at least to start."
