Bomb Brisas

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires Brisas 60-89 .403 30 GB L10: 6-4 Strk: L2

Another winning Sim! With last Sim's 4-3 that's two consecutive winning Sims. In fact, the Brisas actually had a little win streak of 5 games before it was snapped in Athens on the 11th. They even won two 4-game series on that stretch.

Sao Paulo 6-4 W
Buenos Aires players were obviously juiced by their recent winning ways and here was a chance to take a 4-game series. They did not pass up the opportunity. The offense ambushed the Pilots starting pitcher Richard Balgera with 3 runs in both the 1st and 2nd innings. But the story of the game was Brisas starter Namik Vedat allowing only 1 run and 5 hits over 7.1 innings.

@ Athens 4-3 W
@ Athens 8-5 W
@ Athens 3-8 L
@ Athens 3-0 W
Sure, Athens is cruising at the top of the GBC and will probably rest players for the pending playoffs. But a series win over the best team in the league is always welcome. The first game was a back-and-forth defensive contest with Brisas starter Darren Asseldonk allowed 9 hits but only 3 runs. Buenos Aires took two of the remaining 3 games winning the series. The game on the 12th was particularly notable due to Brisas 3-0 shutout victory as Ostoja Omeragic spun a gem allowing on 4 hits over 7 innings.

@ London 2-6 L
@ London 3-14 L
Buenos Aires suffered 2 losses in London at the end of the Sim. London are pushing hard to catch Cairo for the last playoff spot so their players are hyper-focused right now. The Monarchs broke out with 3 games in the 2nd and 5 in the 4th. They ended the contest with a whopping 19 hits (and 14 runs), 5 of them being HRs.
