Buenos Aires Brisas 56-86 .394 32 GB L10: 4-6 Strk: W2

Ok, after the wild swings of the prior few Sims this was a nice and quiet 4-3. Not only was the record better, each game was competitive and guys who joined the club in roster expansion got to get a few looks at the MLB level.

@ Tokyo 6-4 W
Buenos Aires players finally got a breath in avoiding another sweep, this one in Tokyo. The Brisas put together a 6-1 lead and held on from there. Starter Alberto Castaneda turned in 7.1 innings allowing only 1 ER. But he was overshadowed by the display from 1B Odemar Lock who was 4-4 from the plate with 3 RBI, 2 R, 1 BB, and 1 2-run HR.

Jerusalem 7-10 L
Jerusalem 2-3 L
Jerusalem 5-2 W
The squad next welcomed Jerusalem to the Southern Hemisphere for a 3-game series. The Hebrew Hammers are in a race for the title series and the Brisas dropped the first 2 but again avoided a sweep. In the opener, Jerusalem scored at least 1 run in every inning from the 2nd to the 7th in putting together 10 runs on 17 hits. Lock launched another HR but the offense had no chance keeping up on that night. The final 2 games were milder affairs with a pitching duel that finished after Jerusalem scored the winning run with the game at 2-2 in the top of the 9th. And, finally, Buenos Aires dodged the broom by responding to Jerusalem's 2 1st inning runs with 5 unanswered to win going away. SP Carudarsana Sambandan, in his first GBC start, calmed after allowing the 2 runs to go 6.1 innings with only 1 walk and 7 K's.

Sao Paulo 3-4 L
Sao Paulo 1-0 W
Sao Paulo 4-3 W
Buenos Aires stayed at home for 4 more versus Sao Paulo. The first 3 games were entertaining, 1-run affairs but one stands out. Starting pitcher Ostoja Omeragic made his first career appearance at the GBC level absolutely spectacular. He took a no-hitter into the 7th and ultimately went the full 9 allowing only the 1 hit, walking 3 and fanning 4.
