2063.1 | New GM announced for the Fighting Centaurs

It’s safe to say it’s been a disappointing handful of seasons for the fans of the Fighting Centaurs. Athens has not made the playoffs since 2055. For those counting, that’s 7 seasons and will be 8 after this season. They have lost 91+ games the past 3 seasons and have won the championship only once way back in 2048. So far this season hasn’t been much better, currently sitting 4th in the Eurasia at 33-59 24 ½ games back from division leading Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers .

So a change in management wasn’t really shocking for the few fans still showing up to games this season.

As for the new GM, he’s been around the GBC before. He started his GM career back when it was still the UMEBA with the now dufuct Istanbul Bosphorus back in 2039 & 2040 before a couple stints with the Montreal Blazers (2041-2044, 2049-2051). His last time around the league was back in 2055 when he spent 2 seaons with the Sydney Sharks.

Everroad is probably known to most people around the BBA for making one of the worst trades in league history.

I was still new when that trade happened, but I remember a few of the names. Seems like a pretty unimpactful trade in the long term.

Hilarious that the GMs that shit talked that trade are no longer active.

Goes to show having extreme takes on trades in real time is a fool’s errand, especially when you don’t know what the vision is moving forward for either GM.
