Athens lost a step on the Impalers in the race for the wild card slot when they lost 1-2 to Bucharest.
Tripoli Piranhas
It all looked good for Athens as they took the first game of the series 7-2 sadly though it all fell apart in the second game as they lost 3-8 and that was followed by a 1-4 defeat, they may have been catching Bucharest but they were now falling behind Tripoli.
Cairo Pharaohs
Having lost there last 2 games to Tripoli, Athens were in need of a W and they got it with a 8-7 win over the Pharaohs. With Athens taking a 6-3 victory over Cairo and Bucharest losing to Tripoli, The Fighting Centaurs leaped over Bucharest but are now behind Tripoli in the wild card race.
