Well after a strong start to the season and a winning record at 7-5 Athens has gone 15-21 over the last month + and Tannehill has a career record of
22-26 since taking over. Not great but a little better than when they took the reins. Only one starting pitcher remains from June Juan Rodriguez=https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 37344.html who has gone 7 innings his last three starts and has won 2 out of his last 3 starts. Rodriguez seems to be the only pitcher who can be counted on to keep the other team at bay from scoring runs at this point.
The month of August so far has the Fighting Centaurs at a 4-4 record with 3 of the losses coming in extra innings and the other one a 1 run loss. A bright spot last week saw Yancy Cravat= https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 31138.html get the BANC player of the week award and is batting .278 30 HR 92 RBI on the year.
Tannehill hopes the 1-run losses will eventually even out a bit but knows he needs to find the ever elusive starting pitcher who can provide some quality innings for the club.
