Not a bad start to GM Tannehills foray into the UMEBA as the team has gone 7-6 and even had time to make a trade with Mumbai: In the trade Athens traded veteran Maxim Makin and a minor league reliever for two players which Tannehill thinks can produce some good years for Athens. The two players that came back to Athens are Austrian born Max Born and Vinnie Youngberry and let's just face it they both got cool names.

Max Born=https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 33748.html
Vinnie Youngberryhttps://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 50632.html

Max Born immediately started to pay off in his 1st start throwing 8 2/3 innings in a 12-2 win over CSKA Army last week and only came out
because he ummm...well you know what eating curry sometimes does to people...anyway he pitched great so hope he can do it again next outing and I'm sure he won't be visiting that Indian restaurant before a start again.

Vinnie Youngberry hails from the land down under and besides forgoing a scholarship in the states to go to Harvard to play ball he is showing why by hitting .333 with 9 HRS and 23 RBI to start the season with just over 100 AB's and a .676 SLG to boot.

Some other minor changes were made as Gonzalo Fajardo= https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 30551.html a 36 year old veteran who I believe was miscast as a reliever in the prior managements term went out in his 1st outing and tossed a gem against Jerusalem going 8 1/3 innings in a 10-4 win.

Tannehill has cautious optimism as things could quickly change in the OOTP universe but are pleased with the direction Athens is headed.
