Tannehill takes the Helm

When reports surfaced that a new manager was taking over the team over the weekend, it seemed to take the league by surprise as the former GM had been quite active in trying to make the team a competitive one. "He certainly seemed to give it a go" Tannehill stated and we are thankful for that as the team doesn't appear to be in disarray. Tannehill is excited for the opportunity and remains focused on making the rest of the season all about improving for the future and doesn't think they are too far off. I'm definitely focused on putting the best guys out there day in and day out and if we see an opportunity to improve going forward that's exactly what I plan on doing. Tannehill made a couple of minor adjustments with the rotation taking out Hotzen Plotz with his unslightly 9+ ERA and going with Victor Torres who had performed decently in the Athens AAA rotation. "Hey he can't do much worse right" Tannehill stated.. A couple of pitchers will be under a close eye this week as Tannehill has to decide whether to put some feelers out for any interest in some veterans in their rotation. " Everything will be on the table in negotitations". One thing is for sure Athens will remain competitive and be a thorn in the side for those playoff hopefuls when they come to our city Tannehill said as he left the stage.

Don't compete too hard! Beirut is fun to run right now.

Good start (bar the linking), you’ll soon find out that everyone screams at you here for not linking the players. It’s the one thing everyone has to be doing lol. Good solid piece though, look forward to more
