Signed a couple of bullpen pitchers in Héctor Díaz and Ramón Vásquez, doubt they'll be in the pen come Opening Day but decent fillers if I need to replace someone. Besides they were signed on minor league contracts so nothing to lose.

Assigned Damien Abbs and Paul Farrell to Mogadishu, not enough room on the spring training roster for them. Abbs never really caught on last season, Farrell was great until the curse of the All Star game, he never looked the same once he heard he was on the All Star roster.

Apokries starts today, the Mardi Gras of Greece and doesn't stop till March. With Spring Training starting soon I've let the players get involved but strict orders not to go crazy, we've all been invited to parties by Papa and the Mayor of Athens so I can keep my eye on the players there, who'll keep their eye on me is another matter once the ouzo flows.

I don't think we have many vegans or vegetarians on the roster, pretty sure there aren't any on the major league roster. Good job to as today is Tsiknopempti a day were pretty much the only thing on the menu is meat. Papa's invited all the spring training roster to a BBQ at the spring training complex to celebrate the day, going to have to take it easy on them in training tomorrow.

Invited pitchers Juan Ortíz, Francisco Flores, outfielders Husam al Din bin Hadi, Pedro Herrera and infielder Frank Rodríguez to spring training. All five made an appearance in the majors last season but none stuck around, made an offering to the Gods at the acropolis that Ortiz as a break out season, not sure if they listened.
