The first four bobblehead giveaways have been announced despite the regular season schedule not having gone to print yet, Alexis Zorba Marketing Manager announced the following giveaways.

"The first four bobbleheads of the season will be Plato, Aristotle, Socrates and Medusa. Other giveaways and special nights will be announced during the season".

It turns out Mr Zorba started his relationship with the Centaurs as a chauffeur to GM Neil Thomas on his first visit to Athens, on the day after he met Centaurs owner Mr Papadakis and agreed to be the Athens GM. Since then GM Thomas and Mr Zorba have become firms friends, to the extent that the GM persuaded Mr Papadakis to give Alexis the job of Marketing Manager.

They are often seen in the back street bars singing, dancing, drinking ouzo and womanising. It's well known that Mr Zorba gave GM Thomas the nickname Neil the Greek or as most Centaurs fans know him "The Greek". Although since Mr Zorba was given a job within the Fighting Centaurs, Alexis simply calls him "Boss".

Another fine piece, ootp used to have the option to schedule “giveaway nights” in the very early versions if I remember rightly (or am I just dreaming that?). Anyway I wish we could still do that, I seem to remember you got an email after the game telling you if it had been a success and how many extra fans you pulled in. Maybe it was something that got lost when Ootp had that big 2007 edition rewrite under Sega?

Thank you Nige, I'm with you I'm not sure if it was ootp who had it or a league I was in did something with giveaways. It may have even been both.

I'll need to book a flight to Athens and get tickets so I don't miss Medusa bobblehead night. Do other bobbleheads turn to stone if they look at her?

Alexis got a job lot............can't say anymore but I think the reasoning that Medusa is last is the stone thing. ;)
