Mr Papadakis (owner) 2042

Post by Clayman » Thu Mar 12, 2020 4:38 am

Mr Niko Papadakis was born in Skopelos on Skopelos Island, as a proud Greek national he was born on the perfect day the 25th March Greek Independence Day 1978. In 1993 he left school and started working on the family olive farm, on his father's passing in 1995 the olive farm which had been in his families trust for over 100 years fell into his hands.

He wasn't satisfied with the family ran business so within four years of hard work and a sound business mind Niko and his family had not only the largest olive production on Skopelos but on other islands within Greece as well.

By 2000 his family had broadened their portfolio not only to olives but land and property, they also dipped their toes into the movie business providing locations for Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001), Lara Croft Tomb Raider (2003) and Mamma Mia (2008).

In 2006 he became the youngest Mayor of Skopelos, 2 years later he was representing Skopelos Island in the Greek Parliament after a landslide victory gaining 82% of the vote. Less than 10 years later when the Greek economy was in tatters it was the Democratic Freedom Party who asked Niko to negotiate with the EU, with a reputation of getting the job done he was able to get the Greek economy on the straight and narrow.

He was earmarked to be the next Prime Minister of Greece a position he was promised after the economic crisis, however he was only offered the Presidential job, a purely ceremonial role. After leaving the DFP he formed his own party the People's Party of Greece, with an immigration crisis looming Papadakis and his People's Party strolled to victory. Eight years later with a political 70% majority and a heart bypass operation he gave the leadership over to his Deputy Yiannis Hasapi, although the PPG lost votes because of Niko stepping down they still claimed a 64% majority.

In 2030 shipping was added to the Papadakis portfolio, 4 years later the Papadakis empire was estimated to be worth $1billion. In 2036 he was asked to lead a consortium that would put together a bid for an expansion team to play in the UMEBA, it's taken over five years of hard work to bring the Athens Fighting Centaurs to the hearts and minds of the Greek people but also Niko Papadakis who as out of his own pocket payed for the construction of the Piraeus Park the home of the Athens Fighting Centaurs.

Now if I told you that, I would have to make you drink a couple bottles of ouzo so that you'd forget what I had told you  All I can say is cousin Alexis ;) just between me and you.

Indeed, I like to put a bit of a fun, quirky character in my stories. My best one was imo Karaoke King, a guy who had an affair with a Yakuzas wife. Just as he was about to have something cut off he mentioned being a baseball GM, and how good he was, unknown to the Yakuza it was OOTP.
