"We couldn't have asked for a better start" said 1st year manager Manol Didier. "Our pitching was solid. Our hitting got the job done. I think our defense was supposed to be better, but again, you can't ride the highs just yet nor the lows. Let's get more games under our belt before we start solving problems. Overall though, we'll take a 4-1 start all day."
Top Bat

Pedro Bustamante
Pedro led the team in pretty much everything over the first 5 games. He hit a pair of homeruns, drove in 6 RBI, and had 7 hits. In the win over Hawaii, Pedro went 4 for 5 with a double, homerun, and 4 of the 6 RBI.
Top Arm

Steve Warren
Like the whole team, question marks surround the veteran lefty and his ability, but his first start against Louisville left little to doubt. Warren went 5.1 innings pitched, scattering 3 hits of shutout baseball. He didn't walk a batter and struck out 4 in the 6-0 over the Sluggers on April 4. "I think the concern with Warren from a league standpoint is how long into games can he go" added Didier. "His stamina isn't extremely high so 6 innings may be about the max we get out of Steve on most of his starts. Perhaps that is why the scouts in this league look down on him. But I'll tell ya what, we'll take 5-6 innings of how he pitched Sunday all season long!"
Bum of the Sim
Rafael Gomez
He only made one relief appearance. But 3 hits and 3 runs over just 0.1 innings in a 9-7 win over Louisville won't cut it.
