Sparks backed up his April Award by going out in his next start and pitching 7 shutout innings against the defending Brewster champs from Omaha in Portland's 1-0 Win over the Cyclones last night. "I'm just throwing the ball really well and feel good on the mound" said the 21 year old youngster who is currently second in the BBA in ERA behind only Eustace Tilley from Sacramento. "When I'm dialed in like this and have an offense and defense behind me like we have here in Portland, I feel as though the team could win every game I take the mound in."
Portland is currently 4-3 in the 7 games Sparks has started.
