It was a record setting season for Portland's Robert Menzies. The new "face of the franchise" for the Lumberjacks had the best season for an offensive player in the short history of the Portland franchise in 2043. Just how good was his season compared to the brief history? Well here is the one stat:

Menzies 2043 WAR = 6.6
Previous Franchise Best = 3.1 set by Miguel Cortez last season

So Robert Menzies eclipsed the previous franchise best WAR but over DOUBLE the previous franchise record. And he did so with both his bat and his defense.

Menzies hit .313/.417/.435 in 2043 with 12 homeruns and 67 RBI. He set franchise records in WAR, Batting Average, On-Base Percentage, and hits with 190.

On the defensive side, Menzies looked shaky to some as evident by his 30 errors made at the shortstop position but still posted a positive ZR of 3.5 on the season.

Aside from capturing the team's top hitter award for the season, Menzies was also the lone All-Star representative for the team. He also claimed the Charles Puckett Silver Slugger Award at shortstop, the first in Portland Lumberjacks history.

"I had a good season" said the modest Menzies about all of his accolades. "Hopefully I just continue to do what I do and more will come my way."
