In recent weeks, a pair of reports out of Vancouver have been unsurfaced pertaining to the team's financial woes and potential tampering. The first dealt with the team's struggles financially while the second one had a strong hint of possible relocation of the franchise. Upon the releasing of both documents, Vancouver General Manager Taylor Bettencourt has gone on record as saying he feels someone has tampered with the team's finances by releasing the documents, calling Portland out directly in both instances. Today, Portland General Manager Chris Wilson issued a press conference from the team's spring training site in Tombstone, Arizona.
"Look" Wilson started. "We all know I have little love for the Vancouver Mounties organization. And 'little love' is about as nice a way as I can say I hate everything about that organization and that feces ridden city. I'd love nothing more than that organization to move. But to accuse me of leaking their finances is just absurd. If I wanted to do that I'd have done it long ago. Sure, they have some young pup in there leading the organization now named Taylor, but Taylor should realize this isn't personal towards him. I loathed Joe Geoghegan when he was there. Brett Schroeder when he was there. And the many guys who's names I've forgotten in between. The names Newhouse and Sargent and Egan make my stomach just turn. Personally, if I were Matt Rectenwald, I'd just look into contracting the whole organization and dispersing their talent around the rest of the league. And I say talent loosely."
Clearly the rivalry is back alive and well between Wilson and the Vancouver organization. A rivalry that has been anything but since the inception of the Portland Lumberjacks as Vancouver has owned Portland to the tune of 31-11 over the last 3 seasons head to head.
Of course it would be nice if this little story ended there. Recently news has surfaced that Portland team spokeswoman, and Kookie connoisseur, Kate Fiscus has been seen in a variety of western cities scouting the area for vacation homes. Unconfirmed rumors have also been linked to Kate "schmoozing" some big wigs in the area hoping to lure a team to the area.
So perhaps it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility getting the Mounties out of Vancouver isn't being affected in some way by the Portland front office. More on this developing story as it unfolds......

Woah woah woah...neither article you linked is directly attributed to the words of my front office. The first article was written by The Vancouver Times, which the team has no control over. And the second article is just a reddit theory written by a random user. So, there is no need to accuse me of anything.
