2060.32 Bedreddin called up for debut

The Charlotte Flyers have announced that 2059 first round pick Jose “Uncle” Bedreddin will join the big league club for their next series as the Austin Shredders visit Family Dollar field on Monday.

Bedreddin has played 132 games in the Charlotte system since being taken 15th overall last season. His first 72 games were played at the A level in Adirondack. This season, he has played 60 games in AAA for Richmond. He has posted a combined 6.1 WAR in those games, with 40 doubles, 19 home runs, and 87 RBI. He has played good defense in center and left during his time in the minors as well.

Bedreddin will start in centerfield and bat 7th in his debut. The Flyers are looking for something to kickstart the team. They have been inconsistent so far this year but are still well within striking distance for a playoff spot. The team has also continued to shuffle their bullpen around going into this series but the news of the highly regarded prospect’s debut is the top story that has fans buzzing.
