2059.12 Flight Log-Three Players Honored with Awards

Dallas “Firecracker” Dixon earned the first JL Charles Puckett Golden Bat Award of his career. Dixon was fantastic in 2058, slashing .373/.428/.492 with 37 doubles, 9 triples, and 57 stolen bases. He scored 109 runs, and posted a wRC+ of 155 and 6.5 WAR. All of those numbers were career highs. Dixon’s injury in the final week of the regular season kept him from continuing his brilliant play into the postseason but it was a year to remember for Firecracker.
Victor Frazier earned his second consecutive JL Yogi Zimmer Diamond Glove Award in centerfield. Frazier was not as good offensively as he was last season but his defense was spectacular. His ZR went up from 7:8 in 2057 to 12.9 in 2059. His Eff went from 1.029 to 1.055. Frazier made 1 less error this year as well.
Alejandro Chavez earned the second JL Jason Eagan Reliever Award of his career. Chavez pitched for both Jacksonville and Charlotte this year. He appeared in a combined 69 games, pitching 72.2 innings. He had 47 saves on the year.
