Monday’s game was the finale of the series against Rockville. Victor Frazier had 3 hits, including his 5th home run of the season. Buwono Mainaky returned to the rotation with 5.1 strong innings, earning the win, and Andres Gonzales pitched 2 scoreless innings in his first relief appearance of the campaign. The Flyers won 9-3.
Charlotte then traveled to Atlantic City to take on their rivals. Game 1 of the series featured 7 shutout innings by Josh Clark and a home run by Chris McFadden. The Flyers won the game 5-0.
Ivan Ruiz pitched 5 strong innings in game 2 of the series, but the bullpen coughed up a late lead and the Gamblers won 4-2.
The Flyers returned the favor in the 3rd game of the series, coming from behind to win 6-5. Dallas Dixon and Banger Dan each homered in the win.
The series finale featured another strong performance by a starting pitcher. This time it was Mauro Mendoza who pitched 5.1 scoreless innings.Victor Frazier continued his very good week with a home run in this game as well. The Flyers scored the winning run in the 8th inning on an RBI single by Manny Toledo. Charlotte won 2-1.
The week ended with the series opener at home against the Brooklyn Robins. Mainaky pitched fairly well and Banger Dan hit another home run but 3 9th inning runs for the Robins gave them a 6-4 win.
