The Flyers had an excellent week on the field. Last week ended with a dramatic 5-4 walk-off win in 12 innings against Boise. This week started with a dramatic 8-5 walk-off win in 10 innings against Boise. The Flyers followed that game up with a dramatic come from behind 8-5 with n against Boise in which they scored 5 runs in the 8th inning to complete the comeback. Then Buwono Mainaky returned to the rotation and shut down the Spuds, allowing just 4 hits in 7.1 innings as Charlotte won 3-0.
San Antonio then came to town. The Outlaws took advantage of a Josh Clark injury and 3 Andy Bishop errors to win the opener 11-3. San Antonio held on for a 3-2 win in game 2 despite another solid outing by Andres Gonzalez. They ended May with a 19-10 record for the month.
The Flyers started June with 2 big wins to split the series with San Antonio. Game 3 was a 4-2 win for Charlotte and the finale was a 7-6 Flyers win. They lead 7-2 early and just held on to earn the win.
