The 2051 season seems to be going well got the Charlotte Cougars and their GM, Brett Golden.
Golden's latest move - bringing in two new players, 1B Masaki 'Icon' Sato and 3B Blaine Tyler. The news of the players signing one-year FA contracts was first reported ]here.
GM Golden was immediately rewarded! Blaine Tyler decided to go 7 for 21 with 2 doubles and 4 HRs in his first 6 games since showing back up in Charlotte. Not to be outdone, Sato went 8 for 19 with 1 double, 4 HRs, and 9 RBI in his first 5 games as a Cougar.
"This is what happens when the pressure is taken off from some guys. Some guys thrive if they are just a part of a team and not the face of the franchise. I dont expect those two to keep up that power, but it sure is nice when it happens like this," said Golden.
