A pre-season prediction to be one of the best pitchers in the JL this season, and the BBA-leader in strikeouts, Keijo 'Coach' Reini continues on a pace to make both of those predictions come true.

In his past 5 appearances alone, Reini is 2-0 with 2 saves, a 0.00 ERA, giving up only 1 hit while striking out 28 to go along with 2 walks. In a total of 12.0 innings.

For the season, Reini is 3-2 with 4 saves, an ERA of 2.63and a WHIP of 0.70. In 27.1 innings, he leads the league with 57 strikeouts (an 18.77 K/9 rate!) combined with only 12 walks.

The part that makes Reini interesting to most - in those 27 innings, he has only given up 7 hits. Look a little closer, and 5 of those 7 hits were HRs. Yes, 5 of 7! Let's look a little deeper: In the 16.0 innings Reini has pitched at home, he's got a 0.56 ERA, only given up 2 hits, 1 of which was a HR. In 11.1 innings on the road? A 5.56 ERA, 5 hits, 4 of which were HRs. And the strikeout ratios? At home 21.93 K/9. On the road, its 14.33 K/9.

There is certainly something to be said for home cooking, especially in the case of Coach Reini.

And was the first overall pick in the 2040 expansion draft. I can't forget that part as well. You took Reini and look at where he is. I took a catcher, who granted, is now a HOF.
