C-Notes 2045.03 - Cougar Fever
No, its not a new STD on the market. Cougar Fever is an exciting time in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. After an energizing offseason that saw Fan Interest increase from the 80-rating at the end of last season to its current 96-rating, the Charlotte Cougars decided to start the season by showing fans why they should be excited and interested in the season.
For the first time in the team's history (albeit, just starting its 6th year in existence), the Charlotte Cougars find themselves in first place in the Johnson League's Atlantic Division.
The Cougars started on the road in Atlantic City. The road has never been a friend to the Cougars and the team luckily managed an 8-8 split with ATC last season. However, the 2045 season started with a pair of wins against the Gamblers. Newly acquired Francisco Franco shined bright in game 1 going 7.0 innings and only giving up 2 earned runs with 4 Ks and 2 walks in the 5-2 Cougar win. The second game saw the Cougars smash out 11 runs and 15 hits with new Catcher John Hale going 3 for 4, scoring 3 runs while driving in 2 more runs.
While the next couple of games were at Family Dollar Field in Charlotte, they were against the ever-strong Edmonton Jackrabbits. The Jackrabbits have had Charlotte's number over the years, going 30-6 all-time against the Cougars. The 2045 Cougars came to play though, winning the first 2 games of the set by scores of 9-5 and 6-1. Game one was led by Left Fielder Ramón Pagán who went 3-4 with a double and home run, driving in 2 runs while scoring 3 and adding a stolen base to his line for the night. Game 2 saw Pitcher Guillermo Sánchez lead the way with his 6.2 innings of 1-run ball, while striking out 5 and only walking one.
The Cougars have started 2045 on a high note and look to ride that high as long as they can this season. Go Cougars!

I bought some of that "Cougar Fever" and added it to the water coolers in the clubhouse. Seems to work a treat lol

Cougar Fever.... The 2045 version of Covid when the world clearly does come to an end with Charlotte and El Paso being undefeated....

Re: C-Notes 2045.03 - Cougar Fever
charlotte is very much in the mix for the 3rd spot in the JLA (along with everyone in the division not named rockville, new orleans or jacksonville). If menzies goes out to CF when venegas gets back, that defense really has no holes.

Pagan, maybe, but he can at least hold his own. Now, just need Menzies to start hitting.usnspecialist wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 4:41 amcharlotte is very much in the mix for the 3rd spot in the JLA (along with everyone in the division not named rockville, new orleans or jacksonville).
