After being sent to the bullpen for 11 games in an attempt to provide some stability and avoid those late-inning, one-run losses that had been plaguing Charlotte, Keijo 'Coach' Reini is back in the rotation. Due to a mixture of injuries, acquisitions, and increased performance by others in the bullpen, Reini was needed in, and sent back to, his normal spot in the rotation.

During those 11 games, Reini went 0-1 with 5 Saves out of 6 chances. His ERA of 3.15 over 20.0 innings was a full point better than his time spent as a starter this season. His KK:BB ration of 35:4 was more than 10% higher than his rate of 70:21 as a SP. Reini only gave up 12 hits over those 20 innings, with 4 of those HRs.

In his first start back in the rotation, Reini got a no-decision on the road in Rockville after going 5.2 innings of 6-hit, no run, 4 strikeouts and 1 walk baseball.

Charlotte Manager, Tom Chambers, commented that he "looks forward to having Keijo's 10.95 K/9 back in the rotation. We've been hurt by injuries again this year and him being out there every 5th day will bring some normalcy and routine back to the club."
