Sometimes that #1 overall selection fizzles out. And sometimes he ends up being as good as you thought he would be. We've chronicled 2040 #1 overall pick SS Quinn 'Short Stuff' Richardson's meteoric rise to the majors and the Charlotte brass was holding their collective breaths in his first week in the majors.

Richardson did NOT disappoint. In his first 6 games (25 at bats), Richardson decided to show off a little and excite Charlotte management and fans alike. A nice smooth slash line of .400/.429/.720 is more than enough to turn heads across the BBA. Richardson's 10 hits, 1 triple and 2 HRs, with 1 walk and only 3 Ks is what Charlotte fans have been yearning for. Richardson's nerves may have shown a little more in the field where he committed his first error in the BBA in just 20 chances, but it wont be long before that is just a blip in an otherwise remarkable career,
